For Our Distributors:

 

Don't worry, your participation isn't for nothing. In fact, distributors may get the best deal yet. It's free to distribute, and keeps people entertained while they visit your establishment. A list of key points is listed below, followed by a more descriptive explanation.

 

• We're always taking new distributors, so if your interested be sure to contact us and we'll get a stack sent to your business ASAP.

 

• Regular delivery - deliveries are made on Fridays as early as possible depending on when your establishment opens.

 

• If your business is a restaurant, we will NEVER print a competitor's ad in Coffee Bytes. Dine in / carry out restaurants are excluded outright from advertising, but other related fields are allowed such as wholesale grocery distributors or catering services.

 

• Gives something free for the customers to read, rather than spending money on a newspaper. Meaning more money in your drawer!
  

 

• You get a recurring mention right in the newsletter as long as you continue to carry it, plus you will be part of an interactive & downloadable Google Earth map overlay giving directions to all of our distributors and advertisers.

 

• Unfurled size = 11"x17", whereas folded the newsletter is the same size as a normal piece of paper at 8 1/2"x11".

 

The scope of this project is to be for the local community, as well as our visitors that may be in the area. The places of ideal exposure include those that usually require a brief waiting period or 'down time' such as restaurants, doctor's offices, and hotels.

 

Coffee Bytes includes various entertaining sections such as wacky/odd world news, today in history, quotes, puzzles, a comic, and a to-do list of things happening in the city.

 

This is distributed weekly on Friday mornings usually about 11am. Due to printing constraints, any updates with distributors or sponsors must be made sufficiently in advance. This averages about 3 days ahead of the display date, but can fluctuate depending on volume. Currently I am reaching out to both distributors and sponsors – each having their own advantages.

 

As a distributor, the only cost to you is a small 8 1/2”x11” piece of real estate in your business, whether sitting on a counter or posted on a wall in a highly visible area. For that small price your business not only receives a small text based thank you by name and a detailed listing on the Coffee Bytes website, but you will also be part of a downloadable map compatible with Google Earth, so people will be able to see exactly who from and where they can pick up each edition.

 

Another important policy decision is not allowing restaurants/diners/cafes to have paid sponsorships – if your business is a restaurant you will NEVER see a competitor's ad. If you are in retail however, and still interested in being a distributor, that's great! Be aware though, there may be others with an advertisement in a niche similar to yours – unless you are a sponsor as well.
